Planning Committee News

Many thanks to our past co chairs, Mayor Al McDonald and MP Anthony Rota, for their dedication and enthusiasm. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you about our two new co chairs.

Laura Piche is Manager for Global Marketing at Redpath Mining. We are fortunate to have Redpath as our Platinum sponsor for the fourth year. Laura is also entering her 4th year as an FRC judge. I think we have her hooked!

Paul Cook is Chancellor of Nipissing University, a North Bay retired police chief and member of numerous boards. He’s new to FIRST, so let’s show him why he should stay with us.
Many thanks to cartoonist, Lynn Johnston, for acting as our inaugural honorary chair. Thank you also to our past two year honorary chair, George Flumerfelt, President and CEO of Redpath Mining.  This year we welcome Dr. Mike Degagne, President of Nipissing University, as our honorary chair.
